Spencer Junction Cottage is a newly built 3 bedroom home consisting of 2 rooms with Queen Size beds and 1 room with 2 Single beds. The master Bedroom has its own suite with toilet and shower. Some other features include an additional bathroom with a separate shower and spa bath. The main living area is of open design with dining area for 8 people, a lounge room with Foxtel as well! DVD/CD player with a surround sound system and a bar area as well. Other features include a BBQ area, 2 balconies, ceiling fans in all bedrooms, gas heating, dish washer and a washing machine in the laundry. All this is located on the beautiful Hawkesbury River, a short 90 minute drive from Sydney or Newcastle. While in the area visit historical towns like Wisemans Ferry, St Albans & Wollombi. Located within approx. 40 km are four golf courses, located at Peats Ridge, Mangrove Mountain and Wisemans Ferry. Visit the first road connecting Sydney to Newcastle, The Great North Road near Wisemans Ferry, or try your hand at fishing in the Hawkesbury River. The Village of Spencer The Village of Spencer is located on the junction of the Hawkesbury River and Mangrove Creek. In Spencer there is the Spencer Village Store which has a liquor licence, a variety of supplies from milk, juice to every day needs and also fuel. They also have a take away/dine in menu as well. Across from the shop is the boat ramp. The shop and boat ramp are approx. 2km from Spencer Junction Cottage. From Spencer you can head down river to Brooklyn, Berowra Waters or up river to Wisemans Ferry. Along the river there are many pretty locations that you can pull up to or just enjoy from the middle of the river while waiting for that big fish to bite. National Parks Between Spencer and Wisemans Ferry is Mills Creek located in the Dharug National Park. There are 2 main walks starting from the picnic area at Mill Creek, the first is The Grass Tree Circuit. The walk is approx. 2km long and is classed as a pleasant relatively level walk and is ideal for families. The second is The Circuit Track, being approx. 11 km long, it also begins and ends in the Mill Creek picnic area, but is more challenging. Classed as a hard walk, this is a rugged track with steep climbs, so come well prepared. Walkers are advised to carry a well-equipped daypack, maps, a compass and plenty of water. For Directions Click here Spencer Junction Cottage can be reached by following Wisemans Ferry Road to Spencer. There are two main directions to Wisemans Ferry Road. Heading north from Sydney, Take the Peats Ridge exit off the F3, follow the Old Pacific Highway to the Wisemans Ferry Road exit then continue on Wisemans Ferry Road towards Wisemans Ferry. Heading south on the F3 take the Somersby exit then the Wisemans Ferry Road exit and head towards Wisemans Ferry. The other way from Sydney or arriving from the west is to Wisemans Ferry then over the ferry itself follow Wisemans Ferry Road towards Gosford. Property ID : 1184 |
