Guests walking through the undulating 20 acres of bush and gardens might see platypus sunning or echidna foraging. There are endless nights when you imagine you can pick stars from the sky. The brilliant colours at twilight are accompanied by families of wild ducks flying to the two dams, bush pigeons scratching for food and kookaburras and galahs winging their way to roost. The gardens are a work in progress and walks through the rainforest pockets offer spectacular floral displays. Guests can try seasonal fruits as well as pick from the small but bountiful herb and vegetable garden. |

Crabbes Creek is a small rural village off Tweed Valley Way, the old Pacific Highway. It is a very convenient location to access the many beautiful beaches in the area, visit towns such as Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads or Murwillumbah, or explore the natural coastal and inland wonders the Byron and Tweed hinterland have to offer. You can be in Brisbane CBD in 11/2 hours and Coolangatta Airport is approximately 30 minutes away. Take a customised 4WD tour, walk to the licensed General Store, go surfing, play golf on one of the area’s many excellent golf courses, picnic in an idyllic hideaway, visit the weekend markets or stay in and check-out the DVD and book library /exchange at Reception – the choice is yours. Quality eateries abound – choose fish’n’chips or award-winning restaurants. Transport and pick-up to neighbouring eateries can be provided. |

Bookings are recommended, in particular for School holiday periods, Easter and long weekends A deposit of 25% or one full night’s accommodation (whichever is the greater) is required once a booking is confirmed and this is non-refundable if a cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival. All prices quoted include GST and are firm at time of deposit. Prices are subject to change without notice so phone, fax or email direct to confirm current tariff. During peak season (School holidays, Easter and New Year) the full balance is required 14 days prior to arrival. If stay is cancelled, and the cottage is able to be re-let, then a refund will apply subject to a $50 administration fee. |

For Directions Click here Closest airports are Coolangatta and Ballina. Bus drop off areas are Murwillumbah, Ocean Shores and Brunswick Heads. For independent drivers: Crabbes Creek can be accessed from the NORTH by 3 different routes: 1. Take the Freeway from Tweed Heads to Yelgun where there is a turn-off on the left to Tweed Valley Way. You will have already passed the location sign for Crabbes Creek. Tweed Valley takes you over the Freeway and back north. You will see a Welcome to Tweed Shire sign. Continue (past the right turn to Wooyung Beach)and follow the bends and next on your left is Crabbes Creek Road. 2. Continue along the old highway (Tweed Valley Way)from Tweed Heads, bypassing Murwillumbah, through Burringbar and Mooball, then take the first right turn onto Crabbes Creek Road. 3. Take the coast road from Tweed Heads, through Kingscliff, Cabarita Beach, Pottsville to Wooyung Beach. Follow this winding road through some cane fields until it meets up with the old highway, now called Tweed Valley Way. Turn right then take the next turn left into Crabbes Creek Road. From the SOUTH, follow the signs after Brunswick Heads, then Ocean Shores, followed by Billinudgel to Yelgun. Take the Tweed Valley Way right turn off (this is the tourist drive to Murwillumbah), which takes you over the Freeway and back north. You will see a Welcome to Tweed Shire sign. Continue (past the right turn to Wooyung Beach)and follow the bends and next on your left is Crabbes Creek Road. The cottages are approximately 2.74 kms down Crabbes Creek Road on right.
